Jagaara, Cosmo Sheldrake, Frazey Ford and Vance Joy

My laptop’s been in the repair shop for the past two weeks so I haven’t been able to update ya’ll on all the music I’ve been loving, so really quickly here are my highlights from the past two weeks:

Jagaara, we saw these sisters for the first time at Latitude Festival, they’re great, and pulled off a lovely set in Stoke Newington last Thursday – they’re touring the UK this autumn.

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Cosmo Sheldrake perform at the Barbican this week as part of Transgressive’s 10th birthday gig – I love how he makes his music!

Vance Joy played at the Empire this week, I love his album, but his Bruce Springsteen cover was one of the highlights of the gig. He’s one lovely australian.

And just because I heard this song on the radio this morning and fell in love with it completely, Frazey Ford September Fields.

London Calling

Happy New Year everyone.

It’s a week of reunions for me so I’m busy reminding people how great London is. And it really is great so I’m quite happy to do so! We’re off to see the Barbican’s Rain Room in a bizzle, fingers crossed the queue isn’t too long!
