It’s no secret that I think The Paper Cinema are one of the best artistic companies out there at the moment. They’re innovative, creative and oh so so lovely. Combining illustration, cinematic devices and live music, Paper Cinema bring stories to life like no other. And luckily for those of you who haven’t had the chance to see them live (and for those of us who miss them dearly when they’re not touring) Joshua Gaunt of Workshops and Docs has put together a lovely ‘making of’ documentary, as well as filming one of their most recent projects, West. They’re super x

I still can’t get enough of this cover by Wilsen, her voice is so lovely and it suits Grime’s Oblivion so well. Oh and the mournful tone highlights the lyrics brilliantly x
Icelandic singer songwriter Ásgeir Trausti is absolutely gorgeous. Going Home is one of his few songs sung in English which is why it’s the one I’ve chosen to feature in this blog post – but he’s super talented right? The rest of his songs sound just lovely – if only I could understand them!
Enjoy x
If someone had played me this track off the Cat Power Covers record years ago I would have realised how brilliant she is much much sooner.
I Found a Reason is so beautifully played here. I’m clearly going to be listening to her whole backlist the entire weekend.
Don’t you love it when you ‘discover’ someone and instead of having to wait months (maybe years) for new material to be released, you can instead joyously trawl through every album they’re released and fall further in love with their music?! x
Love how well these two come together on this track – just beautiful x
I’ve been a fan of London Grammar since hearing Hey Now at the beginning of the year. They have such a unique sound and thankfully every track they’ve posted on soundcloud since hasn’t disappointed. Wasting My Young Years is their most recent offering and I think it’s sublime. Have a listen x
I had the pleasure of seeing The Intermission Project at the Notting Hill Arts Club last night. These little heart-breakers were part of an awesome night of music, including Hopwood favourites Dancing Years, and Ajimal. I would definitely recommend seeing all three acts live if you get the chance x
