Slick beats from New Zealand songstress Lorde.
My sister downloaded the Lorde EP a few weeks ago, it took me a few listens but I’m whole heartedly into it now. Royals is by far my favourite track, if only for the fact that it refers to a watch as a ‘timepiece’, I’m all over that ironic hipsterness like a rash.

Local Natives, Colombia
Local Natives performed at Scala last night and absolutely blew me away. I’ve seen them a couple of times before but not with the new album Hummingbird, as much as I love the upbeat tracks of Gorilla Manor, tracks like Colombia were the highlight of the gig for me. It’s such a beautiful song! Enjoy

Night Beds
My sister had the pleasure of seeing Night Beds live a few weeks ago and promptly text me with the message: ‘Listen to Even If We Try immediately.’ I did. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be getting tickets when they next return to the UK.
